Call for papers
AUV 2022 symposium is accepting two categories of submission:
- Full paper submissions. Upto six pages in standard IEEE Conference US letter format are allowed for each paper, including figures and references, and a maximum of two additional pages can be purchased. The template is available here.
- Extended abstract submissions. Maximum 2 pages (excluding references) in standard IEEE Conference US letter format. The accepted extended abstracts will be included in the symposium proceedings and the registered authors will get an opportunity to present their work but these abstracts will not be published in IEEE Xplore. Please note that proceedings will be downloadable from our website for only one month post the AUV Symposium.

Final Submission Requirements
In order to ensure that your pdf file is IEEE Xplore compatible, please use IEEE PDF eXpress site to convert your manuscript into a PDF file. If you have already converted your manuscript into a PDF file, you may check the compatibility here. The conference ID is 53081X.
Registration is mandatory for all accepted papers before submitting the final manuscript. At least one author of each accepted paper must register to attend the symposium. Please complete your registration for symposium participation and pay the designated registration fee. Details on registration fee are given here.
Copyright and E-Copyright Form
It is the policy of the IEEE to own the copyright to the technical contributions it publishes on behalf of the interests of the IEEE, its authors, and their employers, and to facilitate the appropriate reuse of this material by others. To comply with U.S. copyright law, authors are required to sign an IEEE copyright transfer form with the final manuscript. For your information, please refer here. It returns to authors and their employers full rights to reuse their material for their own purposes. Authors of accepted manuscripts should fill the electronic copyright transfer form (E-Copyright) at the time of final submission of the material for publication. Extension to journal paper for IEEE JOE special issue
Abstracts/papers accepted and presented at AUV Symposium 2022 will be allowed to extend it into a full journal paper as part of a AUV2022 Special Issue of the IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering. More details will be announced soon.
Student Travel Grant
We are providing a limited number of student travel grants to deserving candidate student presenters participating in-person. Students selected for the grants have been intimated of the selection results.
